We are a unique provider of Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Natural Horsemanship Coaching. Our mission is to help people discover their full potential, find inspiration and solve problems through “hands-on” activities involving interaction with horses in a safe and confidential setting.
Crossroads EAL is an organization comprised of certified specialists that help facilitate the processes of psychotherapy, emotional growth and learning. Our Equine Assisted Psychotherapy services are available to the community through partnerships with licensed mental health professionals and agencies. We provide services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. We help children, adolescents and adults. Our doors are open for all those in need.
Through our Equine Assisted Learning services people can accelerate learning, overcome life obstacles, make emotional and cognitive breakthroughs and discover their true selves . Using carefully designed activities with horses, people can explore feelings and ideas without judgment, gain confidence, learn boundaries, mend and rebuild relationships, develop emotional fitness and solve problems. They can also learn healthy habits, life skills, social skills, teamwork, efficiency and leadership.
We also provide Natural Horsemanship Coaching through our Crossroads Equine Academy. Our Certified Equine Specialists use psychology, natural horse behaviors and natural horse husbandry to gently achieve cooperation from a horse, while preserving their dignity and spirit. Learning Natural Horsemanship methods and philosophy enhances the relationship between the human and the horse creating a natural bond and willing partnership that increases the enjoyment of horse ownership. Horses trained and cared for in a natural way have reduced stress, better health and better behavior developed from better understanding and communication. People benefit from learning Natural Horsemanship as well. It will improve their physical dexterity and fitness, strengthen their confidence, develop their mindfulness and self awareness, increase their empathy, build character and develop a positive attitude.
You can find out more about each of our services on their individual pages. Look for our “Open Barn” days on our events calendar when we invite the community to come experience, first hand, the natural collaboration of humans and horses for growth and learning.
